Students engagements of e-learning and social distancing during covid-19 pandemic

Students engagements of e-learning and social distancing during covid-19 pandemic

Semester: Spring, 2021

Sub-them: Socialization

Topic: Students engagements of e-learning and social distancing during covid-19 pandemic

Q.1 Why did you select this specific sub-theme and topic? Relate it to your experience / problem in your home / institution.

During pandemic situation, all parents and children staying at their home all time. I see children playing in front of their houses but most of parents use Games & application and activities for their children to keep them at home. After talking some parents I decided to choose the following research problem:“Students engagements of e-learning and social distancing during covid-19 pandemic”.

E-learning refers to a learning system that we can obtain through the internet using an electronic device. We also call it online learning or online education. The ‘E’ in E-learning stands for ‘Electronic.’ Hence, the original term ‘electronic learning.’

The word ‘online,’ in this context, means with an Internet connection or via the Internet.

The term may also refer to a network that can provide knowledge and skills to one or more individuals. The network can provide the knowledge or skills either to everyone simultaneously or individually.

“E-learning is training provided via a computer or other digital device, like Mibile,TV and educational games and applications allowing technology to facilitate learning anytime, anywhere.”

Different types of e-learning methods have been proposed, but the present study focuses on the second type i.e. self-directed learning method of e-learning. In fact, this type of e-learning is the self-instruction of self-paced method of learning. In this method, the learners use the educational media and take responsibility of learning on their own.

E-Learning is utilizing electronic technologies to get access educational curriculum. It refers to a course, program or degree that is completed through online. Presently, e-learning is inspiring the world societies at large. In this perturbed era, it is hard to get education in formal mode due to social, economic or interconnected problems in the society. But everyone has an urge to continue its education within possible means. E-learning makes education flexible because there is no limitation of time and space. So, e-learning makes learning easier to learn.

The evolution of technology is drastically changing the social norms. Educated and uneducated masses use technology frequently for enjoyment and benefits. It is observed that different social media like face book, what’s app and twitter plays an important role in education. These applications strongly attracted students and connected them with different parts of the world.  These applications introduce them a variety of new terms of education, one of them is E-Learning. E-learner want to adopt new technologies to learn and to connect with peoples related to their field of study. Many countries of the world are promoting education through e-learning. But everyone wants to enhance his/her education at any cost and by mean.

So, one of this possible mean is e-learning. Which makes education flexible for learners because there is no boundaries of time and building. Now we can have called next era of education, era of e-learning education. In modern world of science and technology, modes of education are molded from non-formal to informal, from informal to formal, from formal to distance and now from distance to e-learning.

The study focused on addressing whether educational systems can use technology to optimize students learning and interest. Many countries of the world are promoting education through e-learning. In developing countries such as Pakistan use of technology at early stages. So mode of e-learning is not more practiced or supported. However, the current research investigates the potentially positive contributions of technology on student’s interest in   learning at young ages in Pakistan.

Q.2    What was your discussion with your colleague / friend / senior parents or supervisor regarding the problem?

During discussion with friends and parents, I found that no education system can rise above the quality of Parents, they are expected to have sound intellectual skill, communication skill, integrity, respect, trustworthiness, caring, confidential, good dressing habit, and guidance oriented. These core values are further highlighted and explained as follows:

To achieve this objective, the traditional teaching methods (lectures, etc.) do not have the required effectiveness, but implementation of e-learning in teaching-learning process could be a way to realize this goal.

E-learning is one of the most important learning environments in the information era. Therefore, efforts and experiences related to this type of learning is given due attention around the world. In Iran, most universities are extensively using this technology. E-learning can benefit self-regulation through the use of self-directed e-learning. The purpose of the current study is to investigate the impact of self-directed e-learning on undergraduate students’ achievement in any  course and creativity.

E-learner want to adopt new technologies to learn and to connect with peoples related to their field of study. Many countries of the world are promoting education through e-learning. But everyone wants to enhance his/her education at any cost and by mean.

One teacher pointed that Educational Games & application during pandemic situation emphasizes the need for them to improve their knowledge of the subject matter and the teaching skills they learned in educational Games & application they attended. This is due to knowledge explosion in the changing world which requires Parents to keep abreast of innovations in curriculum development and pedagogical skills in order to improve teaching learning process and learners’ motivation.

Q.3 What did you find about the problem in the existing literature (books / articles / websites)?

E-learning is defined as a system based on technology, organization, and management which bestows upon the students the ability to learn via internet and facilitates their learning (Levy,

2006).  E-learning makes use of telecommunications technology to get information to achieve the teaching and learning objectives (Bowles, 2000). Also Wanting et al. (2000) define elearning as acquisition of the disseminated knowledge using electronic devices. it can be said that e-learning refers to the use of systems of electronic education such as computer, internet, multimedia disks, electronic magazines, virtual newscasts, and etc. whose purposes are to reduce time and expenses and achieve better, faster, and easier learning (Zare et al, 2014).

Social interactive education and e-learning are used as modes of education. Social interactive education is known as traditional method of learning where student and teacher have face to face interaction whereas e-learning or open learning is contrary to traditional education as it has some distance between learner and teacher. Students who belong to remote areas or have jobs can get education at their door step through e-learning education and enhance their qualification at any time and at any stage of age (Ansari, 2014).

In new generation lacks creativity because Access of profuse technology. The interaction between technology and learning is inseparable in the 21st century. It is critical to understand the impact of technology in education which leads to interest in school attendance and subsequently to learning and creativity. Children can help one another in use of technology as well as taught learn in universities (Shafieiosgouei, Nourdad, Hassantofighi & Shafieioskouei, 2018). According to Alismail (2015) in technology e-learning is a powerful tool, which provides direct access to get information and knowledge by themselves. E-learning leading to independent learning. Teachers have the responsibility to guide students as they research and obtain information in order to further develop that skills. Subsequently, without even knowing it students “learn how to learn” and develop their own learning strategies that can last a life time.

Technology rapidly evolve and its innovations have had a positive impact on our daily lives. It also brings revolution in the field of education and research. E-learning can refer to the situation where the interaction between the students and the teacher is done through online system. Students are received training and taught through online system and teacher may also in the same building with them (Ajadi, Salawu, & Adeoye, 2008).

Human society take a huge leap due to revolution in the field of information technology and the development of web. The focus of society is shifted from industry to information. Information technology suddenly became an important element of every aspect of our society and Education is no exception from it. It changes every field of education, even it changes the modes of education and introduce a new mode of education, called e-learning.

Creativity and innovation skill brings changes in teaching and learning due to technology. From different virtual channels students can see the real world through their own online experience as videos can be effective means to observe real life problems and come up with solutions. Through multimedia tool to increase student performance and motivation to learn by encouraging discussion, collaboration, problem solving, innovation, promoting cognitive processes and constructing knowledge (Mueller 2006).

The use of multimedia and networking is welcomed in the field of education. In 1960, the University of Illinois developed a classroom with linked computer terminals where the students could listen to recorded lectures of a course. This was the first time that some form of e-learning was followed. In the beginning of 1960s, some professors of Stanford University used computers to teach mathematics and reading in elementary schools. E-learning are providing learning techniques to the students. With the growth of internet in 1990s, correspondence schools like University of Phoenix started showing interest in virtual education. By 1994, the first online high school CAL Campus came into existence. The combination of online education and face-to-face teaching methods has gained more success than using the two methods individually. Some experts refer to the education in 21st century as a multimedia network education. Educational information is being accepted and promoted by all the nations around the world. A fact stated by the National Centre for Education Statistics that in 2008, there were 18 million students, who were enrolled in some online program worldwide, which was a 1.6% increase from 2002.In India, even though the statistics are not so high, still there is a large scope of online education. Under this situation, the education system and the teaching methods and many other things related to the education field are changing. And this transformation has given birth to e-learning.

E-learning supports the widespread use of educational training. E-learning has various advantages over the traditional techniques of learning and it is superior. E-learning is the most convenient way to pursue a degree in higher education. A lot of students are involved to a flexible and self-paced method of education to attain their degree. Taking into consideration of technology in education, the researchers was in line with Chomsky (2014) technology itself and education is concerned, technology is basically neutral. It’s like a hammer. The hammer doesn’t care whether you use it to build a house or whether on torture, using it to crush somebody’s skull, the hammer can do either.

Modern Learning Environment (MLE) is a term that has a whole section on information supported with digital technology tool in the way that is a modern part in learning and teaching process. MLE is designed to support learning styles which can exactly make the learning environment to be modern. In this view, it is evident that MLE has a distinct look especially from the way on process and facilitation (Ellaway & Masters, 2008).

MLE refers to enhance knowledge inquiry rooted in pedagogical and technological approach. As a result, MLE is a kind of educational circles required in schools and in higher learning around the world to support the learning styles, particularly collaborative communication styles. Regarding supporting learning styles in knowledge inquiry, attempts to enable student to accept the learning and additionally to get access to online resource can be facilitated with such integration. This is to consider in creating such bright which may stimulate classrooms to give such description into open and flexible learning spaces (Maseleno, Huda, Basiron, Jasmi & Ahmad,2018).

According to Sabir, Ahmad, Ashraf and Ahmad, (2013) higher Education Commission (HEC) in Pakistan 70% of the students are registered privately or by distance education programs offered by different universities (Division, n.d.). Those students who joined distance education are also facing problems in attending tutorials and workshops as they live far away from study or examination centers. Many of them stop studying due to many problems they have faced specially mentioned above. Due to these reasons students are now focusing on online and elearning programs, as they can easily asses their lessons and assignments easily even than their examinations too.

E-learning provides opportunity to save conversation and listen it later when they have time as it is a flexible system of education. There is no boundary of time schedule and building. E-learning provides opportunity to contact any teacher or institution from any part of the world.

They can also watch relevant videos or listen audio lectures of different teachers from any other part of the world. Means they have more variety and many chances to enhance their knowledge.

Q.4    What were the major variables / construct of your project? Give definitions / description from literature.

Key Terms in the Project/Major variables:

A word that serves as a key, as to the meaning of another word, a sentence, passage, or the like. The key concept is usually the main idea in the essay question. To provide the readers a better understanding of the frequently used terms in the study, the following terms are defined operationally:

Technology.

The branch of knowledge that deals with the creation and use of technical means and their interrelation with life, society, and the environment, drawing upon subjects as industrial arts, engineering, applied science, and pure science.

Technology Tools.

Tools such as, but not limited to, an interactive whiteboard, software, email, computers, and the Internet are considered technology tools.

E- learning

E-Learning, or electronic learning, is the delivery of learning and training through digital resources. Although E-learning is based on formalized learning, it is provided through electronic devices such as computers, tablets and even cellular phones that are connected to the internet. This makes it easy for users to learn anytime, anywhere, with few, if any, restrictions.

Basically, E-Learning is training, learning, or education delivered online through a computer or any other digital device.

Educational Games & Application

Many different types of educational Games & application are being applied and used in educational institutions, areas and homes. Using Games & application in education mostly focuses on improving critical thinking skills while teaching a particular subject, by allowing children to think outside the box as they follow rules. There are other Games & application that can be used which limit to improving knowledge in a specific subject and the most popular ones are math Games & application.

Pandemic Condition

A pandemic is defined as “an epidemic occurring worldwide, or over a very wide area, crossing international boundaries and usually affecting a large number of people”. The classical definition includes nothing about population immunity, virology or disease severity.

Q.5 What did you want to achieve in this research project?

Objective / purpose of the study:

The purpose of this action research will be a common knowledge that when Parents are seen upholding Home tasks for children’s, it creates a high level of children confidence and trust in the learning throughE-learning.

Review of studies conducted in the field of e-learning application and its impact on learning and creativity suggests that the use of this teaching method in the teaching-learning process can lead to the effectiveness of training. Emergence of new theories of teaching and learning has made the education to shift from being teacher-oriented to being student oriented. Moreover, development and evolution of new communication devices has enabled modern man to use modern methods of teaching and learning and get free from time and space barriers and keep on learning in any time and place according to his needs and demands.

This has been partly attributed to lack of Parents’ full commitment to E-learning during pandemic situation, which affects children’ motivation. This public outcry calls for further investigation into Parents’ compliance with teaching E- learning during pandemic situation (norms, values, principles and regulations) in the performance of Home tasks, with a view to determining their implications on children’ motivation in city name.

Research Question:

The use of electronic technologies has led to the development of educational opportunities and helps students develop their skills. According to studies, the evidence shows that e-learning can have a profound and positive impact on learners’ involvement, positive attitudes of teachers, personalized learning, and learners’ creativity.

This study aims to make an action plan for the E-learning during pandemic situation of secondary (10th) level children’s in city name.

Technology in education is a very broad topic, and many questions could have been asked of teachers and students to gather information for this study. The researcher narrowed down the topic by focusing on teachers and students’ motivation, grades, attendance, and attitude. As a result, this study considered the following research questions:

The research questions being addresses in this study are:

1.To Developing the Using E-learning as Tool for students of Grade 10th while performing at Home?

2.To explore the effects of E-Learning on education system during COVID-19 pandemic

3.To examine the possibilities for students to study from home via E-Learning

4.To explore the ways on Managing children at home through engaging them through E-Learning

5.To give some suggestions on how to minimize the barriers faced by education system during COVID-19 pandemic

Q.6 Who were the participants in your project?

In order to understand the complexities of much validity, researchers’ participation in and observation of the phenomenon should be the appropriate approach for more authentic understanding and explanation of the qualitative data. The targeted population was children enrolled in secondary (10th) level of city name. However, in this questionnaire, forty (40) children, taking a related course, were selected in a city name located in District as a sample while considering the research control and validity of this study. This sample included children of the two major medium (English Medium and Urdu Medium). These participants might generally represent the children in secondary (10th) level. The peer reading strategies was developed on the basis of a series of research regarding written skills identification and improvement for secondary (10th) children. This curriculum purported to Students engagements of e-learning and social distancing during covid-19 pandemic.

Q.7 How did you try to solve the problem?

Action research encompasses small scale systematic inquiry and contains a number of stages which frequently persist in cycles. Like planning, action, observation and reflection. This type of research has become gradually widespread all over the world as a method of special growth. It has been especially developed in education, specifically in teaching, and is now used broadly across the professions.

Method of the study:

The methodology of this research was comprised on an action research to find out and solve the problem. The social phenomenon under scrutiny was the Students engagements of e-learning and social distancing during covid-19 pandemic. Using E-learning as a Tool for Students of Grade 10th while performing at Home. Questionnaire was used to collect the data needed to provide the information insight necessary to answer the research questions.

Population:

The entire group from which a sample is chosen is known as the population and we choose the Using E-learning as a Tool for Students of Grade 10th while performing at Home. It was quite convenient for the researcher, being a resident of city name to accumulate quality data from chosen city and area.

Sample:

Sample is smaller representation of large data. Generally, it consists of all the observation that represents the whole population. In the existing action research, secondary (10th) level children were sampled for this study.

Sample Size:

The number of observation included in a sample is called size of sample. The 40 children of secondary (10th) level and their Parents were selected for this class based action research.

Research Instrument:

Questionnaire was used to collect the data needed to provide the information insight necessary to answer the research questions. In this technique a number of questions were designed according to requirement and relevancy of researcher being conducted. The questionnaire was prepared to attain study objectives.

Ethical Considerations:

From the inception of this research I was extremely particular to carry out an ethical inquiry and therefore gave serious thought to all ethical aspects this study would entail. As parents-researchers, my secondary responsibility was to my children. An action research is considered „ethical’ if research design, interpretation and practical development produced by it have been negotiated with all parties directly concerned with the situation under research. Permission to conduct the study was first sought from the principal and area governing body. Permission was sought from area head. The rights of the participants (secondary (10th) level children) were spelled out clearly i.e. they could refuse to be audio recorded and they could demand to see any notes or recordings.

Collection of Data:

The term questionnaire is often used interchangeably with survey. It is common and easy method of data collection in action research. Similarly, it is quickest, cheapest, confidential method of collecting data from respondents. So in such type studies, it is very necessary during development of measurement tool for quality data to keep all aspects in mind. Quantitative method was used to get important and meticulous information. Information was collected through questionnaire consisting only close ended questions relative to research objectives. The close ended questionnaire was made for data collection.

Q.8       What kind of instrument was used to collect the data? How was the instrument developed?

Data Collection:

Data collection is the process of gathering and measuring information on targeted variables in an established system, which then enables one to answer relevant questions and evaluate outcomes to answer the research problem. In this Action Research, I kept all ethical consideration in mind. I also discussed the plan with the students and also took permission from the management and students before initiating the action cycle. I used following instruments for data collection.

Research Instruments

Research instruments are a way of gathering data concerning the research focus. Gathering data using different research instruments is in fact creating different ways to study the social event being researched.

Questionnaire

I developed the questionnaire to obtain data on Managing children at home through engaging them through E-Learning. Questionnaires are a convenient way of collecting data from a large number of individuals.

Rating Scale

A rating scale is a tool used for assessing the performance of tasks, skill levels, procedures, processes, qualities, quantities, or end products, such as reports, drawings, and computer programs. These are judged at a defined level within a stated range. I also develop rating scale to judge student’s performance.

Case Study

A case study is usually an in-depth description of a process, experience, or structure at a single institution.  In order to answer a combination of ‘what’ and ‘why’ questions, case studies generally involve a mix of quantitative (i.e., surveys, usage statistics, etc.) and qualitative (i.e., interviews, focus groups, extant document analysis, etc.) data collection techniques.  I analyze quantitative data first and then use qualitative strategies to look deeper into the meaning of the trends identified in the numerical data.

Checklists

Checklists structure a person’s observation or evaluation of a performance or artifact. They can be simple lists of criteria that can be marked as present or absent, or can provide space for observer comments. These tools can provide consistency over time or between observers. Checklists can be used for evaluating databases, virtual IM service, the use of library space, or for structuring peer observations of instruction sessions. I also used checklists for effective data collection.

Interviews

I prompt the interviewee for detail information regarding my study themes. My role as researcher was to pose the questions and I used the responses of the students to prompt them for more detail if I thought it necessary. On several occasions, the interviewees’ responses led to discussions not pertinent to the research and I had to focus their thoughts on the topic.  In the course of these discussions, their understanding of the topic was revealed. The complete interview was audio recorded and the recorder was placed in such a way that everybody could see it.

Students Portfolio

Portfolios can be a physical collection of student work that includes materials. I check students portfolio such as written assignments, journal entries, completed tests, artwork, lab reports, physical projects (such as dioramas or models), and other material evidence of learning progress and academic accomplishment, including awards and honours.

Field Notes

Field experiences support candidates to better understand and apply the themes through their work with students. To understand in simple words field notes are draft/rough notes taking while sitting in a class. So based on these field notes I was prepared my final observation.  I also took field notes.

Q.9 What were the findings and conclusion?

Findings:

This research project was created and conducted to answer two research questions: How does the direct teaching of performing at home strategies affect children’s E-Learning during pandemic situation for home task to solve study problems? And how does the direct teaching of performing at home strategies affect children’s E-Learning during pandemic situation for home task towards perseverance and working to solve a problem? The quantitative findings suggest that using E-Learning during pandemic situation for home tasks to directly teach children strategies to solve study problems does have a significant effect on their ability to solve problems. According to Table 1, all children made growth between their pre-assessment and post-assessment scores. The average growth was 37.5%.

Children 5 and 6 had the highest amount of growth, with an increase of 67%. Children 3 had the least amount of growth, with an increase of 6%.

Pre-Test and Post-Test Result:

The results for pre-assessment using E-Learning during pandemic situation for home task for the group were a mean of 25% percent correct with a standard deviation of 17.7. The scores ranged from 0 to 38%. Both the median score and mode score were 38%. After the interventions were conducted, the group had a mean of 63% with a SD of 29 with scores ranging from 22% to 100%. The median score was 55.5% and the mode was 100%. A paired t-test was conducted to decide if there was a significant difference between the preand post-data scores. The t-test revealed a score of .00482 which is far below the acceptable score of 0.05. Based on this information it can be concluded that there is a very significant difference in test scores between the pre- and the post-assessment. The results for pre- using E-learning during pandemic situation for home task general for the group was a mean of 54% percent correct with a standard deviation of 17.5 with scores ranging from 25% to 75%. The median score was 53.12% percent and the mode was 75% percent. According to Table 2, the average growth was 21%. After interventions were put in place, the group had a mean of 75% with a SD of 19 with scores ranging from 50% to 100%. The median score was 68.75% and the mode was 100%. A paired t-test was conducted to see if children made significant growth between the pre- and post-test. The t-test revealed a score of .000545 which is far below the acceptable score of .05.

Conclusion:

There were many factors that impacted the results collected in the study. During the intervention period there were many behavioral issues that took place in the home, many times preventing the interventions from happening. Also, the academic schedule of the area impacted the implementation of the interventions. There were many half day/professional days that caused the interventions to be cut from the daily schedule. In addition, the team at the area implemented a new study curriculum right before the interventions began. Initially, this new implementation should not have caused any issues with the interventions. However, it was decided that more time needed to be devoted to the Walk to Study program and the new curriculum. This caused the intervention time to be cut from the daily schedule. Also, as stated previously in this paper, there was a chance that the new curriculum influenced the children’ performing abilities, thus creating inflated results. For most of the tools administered, the parents gave them to the children. This might have affected the results of the data because the parent’s presence might have had different effects on the children. The children might have felt that they needed to answer a certain way. There was also potential for parents grading bias when grading the E-Learning during pandemic situation for home task’s, even though the parents used a rubric provided by the using E-Learning during pandemic situation for home task package.

Q.10 Summary of the Project.

Research studies are being conducted in order to provide results that will help with social, professional and the purpose of this action research will be a common knowledge that when Parents are seen upholding Home tasks for children’s, it creates a high level of children confidence and trust in the learning through E-LEARNING.

More than 1 billion and 575 million students in approximately 188 countries around the world are reported to have been affected by the closure of schools and universities due to preventive measures taken by countries against the spread of COVID-19. Due to isolation, the use of technology has been considered the most appropriate (if not the only) alternative to keep educational systems functional in many parts of the world during this period. Despite the challenges in implementation, several advantages have been acknowledged in the need to shift to remote or online learning, among which stands out the opportunity for rapid progress in the field of digital education, which, in other circumstances, would take years (Lurvnik

2020). The shift to the remote learning format has also been assessed as a good opportunity for teachers and students to become stronger, more creative, and innovative. This crisis has also shown that our education system is lacking in terms of digital preparedness. This issue pertains to most countries globally who are trying to transfer learning from classrooms to online. Many teachers are not technology savvy and are forced to adapt to conduct their classes online. These online platforms have always been a supplementary teaching material to use in classrooms. Now, it has become the only means to reach and teach students.

Purpose of the Study

  1. To explore the effects of E-Learning and Educational TVs on education system during COVID-19 pandemic
  2. To examine the possibilities for students to study from home via E-Learning.
  3. To explore the ways on learning through E-learning in the time of COVID-19
  4. To give some suggestions on how to minimize the barriers faced by education system through E-Learning during COVID-19 pandemic.

Process of Data collection

I used action research method for existing research. Observation, focus group interviews, questionnaires and field notes by me to collect the data. The interviews used in this study were semi-structured. I conducted direct interview of students during their free time. I also used mobile phone for recording data. The head teacher introduced me to the class teacher. I assured that the study is the sole purpose of writing a research project and that the data collected would be treated with utmost.

The data was collected through well-structured research tool (Interview schedule). So in such type studies, it is very necessary during development of measurement tool for quality data to keep all aspects in mind. Qualitative / Quantitative method was used to get important and meticulous information. Information was collected through questionnaire consisting only close ended questions relative to research objectives. The close ended questionnaire was made for data collection. When conducting a research study involving young children, it is vital that the children are protected and treated fairly. In order to ensure that is the case in this study, all participants in the study are referred to by “Children.” No personal information, such as addresses, is included in the study. In order to make sure that all children are treated fairly, all children received the interventions implemented. How does the direct teaching of performing at home strategies affect children’s E-Learning during pandemic situation for home task to solve study problems? And how does the direct teaching of performing at home strategies affect children’s E-Learning during pandemic situation for home task towards perseverance and working to solve a problem? The quantitative findings suggest that using E-Learning during pandemic situation for home task’s to directly teach children strategies to solve study problems does have a significant effect on their ability to solve problems. According to Table 1, all children made growth between their pre-assessment and post-assessment scores. During the intervention period there were many behavioral issues that took place in the home, many times preventing the interventions from happening. Also, the academic schedule of the area impacted the implementation of the interventions. There were many half day/professional days that caused the interventions to be cut from the daily schedule. In addition, the fourth grade team at the area implemented a new study curriculum right before the interventions began.

Q.11 How do you feel about this practice? What have you learnt?

In the earlier I was bit confused when I went to area for research. I was hesitated to start my work in the area but when I arranged meeting with parents then suddenly this hesitation went away. The staff of the area told me that we will help you and guide you whenever you need. After meeting with parents and their positive response I was satisfied and ready to do it. First of all most of us numb the uncomfortable emotions, but unknowingly when we do this research we can also end up numbing our other emotions like joy, peace, happiness, and pleasure. We can’t fully have one without the other. The first step is always awareness, because once we have awareness we can start to do something about it. Awareness alone won’t help us stop using Conflict management. Awareness after the fact is what I’m talking about here.  Starting anything new and trying to create a habit out of it takes work and time. This is one of the reasons I love researching and attending classes as it’s basically a scheduled time in the day, where I have no other

distractions, to just be in my routine and notice how I’m feeling. That being said I rarely make it to a class once a week these days, so I do have to find simple and quick ways to connect. Since mindfulness is about being present in the moment and noticing all the sensations and emotions in your mind and life, one thing you can do is ask yourself where in your mind you feel your emotions.

Q.12 What has it added to your professional skills as a parents?

Action research is a form of research that is authentic and meaningful to the teacher/researcher because it is conducted by the teacher in his/her own classroom space. Action research helps me to pick up threads suggested in academic circles, and weave them in my own classroom. Action research allows me to take ownership over my teaching and occurs when teacher researchers contemplate a classroom or instructional issue, design a study, execute the study, track data and results, and reflect. The action research progression is interactive; it is not a passive process, as teacher-researchers are active constructors of knowledge. This action research helped me to maintain classroom management through effective discipline practices for effective writing skills. I learnt that usage of E-learning associated with high academic performance during COVID-19 pandemic or academic achievements during COVID-19 pandemic. From this practice I’m able to assess the problem in my class. Now I can identify, process and solve the problem through scientific way which results better than previous which was beating about bush. As teachers construct new knowledge while linking prior knowledge, learning occurs. This research provides me with data from my own experiences and my own students. This is the meaningful evidence that I need to be able to tell other stories. I strongly believed that there is no better way to communicate your story than to stand up in front of my peers and share the journey of action research. This study added my professional skills as trainee teacher that sharing useful strategies with students and provide them examples enhance their English writing skills. I will give assignments to students that offer appropriate practice with feedback. Writing is a complex skill which most students actually need in order to successfully go through college. Because everything is based on writing during academic years, a student who possesses good writing skills will automatically do better at everything, including exams, essays, assignments, and so on. I’m talking about general and specific tips and tricks on how to approach a specific type of essay. For example, you can emphasize the importance of creating clear and concise outlines before they start writing. As a teacher, my role is to help each and every student improve themselves, acquire new skills, and become a better individual by the end of their time spent in college. Even though one cannot improve their skills without working hard and having a desire to make progress, a teacher can definitely get involved and make huge differences concerning this matter. I will follow these tips, for improvements in my student’s mind-set to use computer for effective learning.
